REDUX Receives Two Honours at the Singapore Environmental Achievement Awards 2026
REDUX has been recognised with the Innovation & Design Award and the Outstanding Environmental Achievement Award at the Singapore Environmental Achievement Awards (SEAA) 2026, marking an important milestone in our sustainability journey.
The two awards recognise different but closely connected aspects of REDUX’s approach to sustainability.
The Innovation & Design Award (SME) recognises our efforts to develop practical circular economy solutions and make environmental outcomes more measurable for our customers.
The Outstanding Environmental Achievement Award (SME) carries an even broader significance, recognising how sustainability has been integrated across our strategy, governance, operations, environmental management and innovation.
Together, the two awards reflect an approach we have been working towards over the years: making sustainability not simply an initiative alongside the business, but part of how REDUX operates and creates value.
Building Sustainability into the Business
For REDUX, responsible resource management begins with the way our business itself is managed.
Guided by our Decarbonisation & Circular Impact Roadmap 2024–2035, we have been progressively strengthening how environmental considerations are incorporated into business planning, operational processes and decision-making.
This includes setting sustainability objectives and measurable indicators, conducting regular performance reviews, monitoring emissions and environmental performance, and assigning responsibilities across different functions within the organisation.
Our environmental management approach is also supported by recognised standards and external assessments, including ISO 14001, R2v3 and EcoVadis Platinum, alongside our wider suite of management system certifications.
Rather than placing responsibility for sustainability within one department, our aim is to integrate it across operations, logistics, procurement, finance, management and customer solutions.
This provides the foundation for REDUX to continuously improve our environmental performance while developing new solutions for our customers.
Turning Recycling Outcomes into Measurable Environmental Value
One of the initiatives behind REDUX’s Innovation & Design Award is our development of Carbon Impact Reporting (CIR).
Traditional recycling documentation can tell an organisation what assets or materials were processed. We wanted to go a step further by helping customers better understand the environmental impact associated with their responsible disposal activities.
Our Carbon Impact Reporting methodology measures the carbon footprint associated with processing while quantifying the potential greenhouse gas emissions avoided through responsible recycling and material recovery.
Supported by an externally validated carbon accounting methodology, CIR provides customers with an additional layer of environmental information that can complement their sustainability and Scope 3 reporting efforts.
This represents an important part of REDUX’s approach to innovation.
For us, innovation is not only about adopting new machinery or processing technologies. It is also about improving the traceability, transparency and measurability of environmental outcomes so that businesses can make better-informed sustainability decisions.
Advancing Circularity Beyond E-Waste
Our efforts to advance the circular economy have also expanded beyond conventional electronic waste.
As the adoption of renewable energy infrastructure grows, end-of-life solar photovoltaic panels are becoming an emerging waste stream that requires responsible recovery solutions.
REDUX has developed dedicated capabilities for the mechanical processing of crystalline-silicon solar panels, enabling the separation and recovery of materials such as aluminium, glass and other components for further recovery.
Our work does not stop at material separation.
We continue to explore opportunities to create greater value from recovered materials, including collaborations and research into potential higher-value applications for recovered solar panel glass.
This reflects a broader principle behind our circular economy strategy: recovery should not only focus on diverting material from waste, but also on identifying opportunities to keep resources in productive use for longer.
Combining Innovation with Accountability
Technology and innovation alone are not sufficient without strong environmental governance.
Alongside developing new recycling and reporting capabilities, REDUX continues to strengthen our own operational environmental performance through emissions monitoring, renewable energy adoption, improvements to resource efficiency and the progressive electrification of our vehicle fleet.
We also continue to benchmark our management systems against recognised international standards and communicate our sustainability progress through transparent reporting.
These efforts help us evaluate not only what we have achieved, but also where further improvement is needed.
This combination of governance, measurement and innovation is particularly significant to the Outstanding Environmental Achievement Award.
The recognition reflects more than the success of an individual recycling project. It recognises the broader system behind our work: how environmental considerations are incorporated into management, how progress is measured, how new solutions are developed and how those solutions can create value beyond REDUX’s own operations.
Creating Impact Beyond Our Own Operations
Much of REDUX’s environmental impact ultimately depends on collaboration.
Our customers entrust us with their retired IT assets, electronic waste and other end-of-life equipment. Our industry, research and technology partners help us explore new recovery pathways and applications. Our employees translate environmental objectives into day-to-day action.
By combining these efforts, we aim to help organisations move beyond simply disposing of end-of-life assets towards understanding where materials go, what can be recovered and what environmental value can be created through responsible resource management.
This is particularly important as organisations increasingly seek greater traceability and measurable information to support their sustainability strategies.
A Milestone and More Work Ahead
Receiving both the Innovation & Design Award (SME) and the Outstanding Environmental Achievement Award (SME) is an encouraging milestone for REDUX.
