REDUX team spent the morning volunteering at Food from the Heart’s warehouse (Joo Seng Road), supporting their weekly food distribution efforts by packing food bundles for beneficiaries. What seemed simple at first quickly became a lesson in coordination, accuracy, and communication—each bundle requires the right combination of essentials, with quantities adjusted depending on whether the recipient is an individual or a family household.
With 9 volunteers on site, we completed 150+ packs, working through a clear workflow of picking, passing, packing tightly and neatly, and preparing bundles for efficient palletising and storage. Beyond the task itself, the experience was grounding, highlighting the scale of behind-the-scenes work required to support families consistently.
